Decades of NEPA Wrestling, Built by Hometown Clubs

The Penn League is one of the longest-running youth wrestling leagues in northeastern Pennsylvania. Ten member clubs — run by hometown coaches and volunteers — field teams of elementary-age wrestlers who learn the sport the right way: fundamentals first, hard work always, and respect for every opponent across the circle. Most Penn League wrestlers start with zero experience. That's what the league is here for.

How the Board Works

Rankings aren't voted on — they're earned. This board seeds from the verified 2026 championship results above. During the season, coaches log every dual result in the Stat Tracker and the board re-computes from wins, pins, and strength of schedule — and it becomes the seeding guide for next year's championship.

Season Schedule

League duals run through the winter, and everything builds to championship day. The full dual schedule posts here as soon as the league office releases it — club practices are set by each club's own coach.

Parent FAQ

Everything families ask us most — answered before you have to email anyone.

Absolutely — it's the norm, not the exception. Most Penn League wrestlers are brand new in their first season, and club coaches teach true beginners from the first practice: stance, takedowns, and how to be a good teammate.

Register right on this page. Pick your club, enter your wrestler's age and weight class, and you'll get a registration reference number instantly. Your club coach then confirms placement, practice nights, and season fees directly with you — fees are set and collected by your club, never on this site.

Saturday, January 31, 2026, at Lake Lehman High School in Lehman, PA. Every club attends — 722 wrestlers across 8 divisions and 53 weight classes. Wrestlers weigh in by division in the morning, brackets run all day, and place-winners are recognized on the podium at the end of the day.

The 2026 championship standings and points leaders in the League Center come straight from the championship's official results. During the season, coaches log every dual result in the Stat Tracker, and the rankings are computed automatically from wins, pins, and strength of schedule — earned on the mat, never voted on.

Bring wrestling shoes (clean sneakers work for the very first practices), headgear — required for live wrestling, and many clubs keep loaner pairs — and a labeled water bottle. Your club issues the team singlet for duals and the championship, and practice nights and gym locations come from your club coach after registration.

Register at the weight class closest to your wrestler's current weight. Final placement is confirmed at weigh-ins, and coaches make sure every wrestler is matched safely and fairly by age, weight, and experience.
